In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Be the Change.”
What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world? ~ Daily Post 1/2/15
It is highly unlikely that my blog would make any major changes in this world. But if I can make a difference for the better in even just one person’s life, it will have been worth it.
This world has too much hate, bitterness, and ugliness. What is needed is people who love, care, and understand each other and the more this happens, then this world becomes a better place.
My blog may not make bells ring or fireworks explode, but when I feel I have made the difference, for the better, in someone else’s life, then those bells ring and fireworks explode for me. (And hopefully, also for the other person).
Who knows? Maybe we can end wars, stop hate, bigotry, and bitterness in the world – just one blog at a time. My blog and your blog.
All of us together as one, can make all the difference that this world needs – to change.
Oh, I dunno, Joy, I’m sure I have heard bells and seen the odd firework!
LOL! 😆 Thank you Cat! You just made my day! 🙂 (((HUGS!!)))
Maybe you could advise on blog header images. I want to change mine! Is it legal just to take images from an internet search and then use them at the top of our blog?
I have done that before. This one happens to be my own. I am not sure if all the themes are this way, but mine is. However, my theme only uses about 1/4 of the picture (it cuts off 3/4 of the bottom).
Thanks Joy. I did notice your header was quite narrow. I don’t have many of my own pics. My blog has stayed the same since the beginning but I want something a little less blue and a little more brightness 😉
Do you want it to be similar to what you have only brighter? Or do you want it to be “happier”?
Happier… but lets not get too excited…lol…only jokin 😉
LOL!!
I forgot. Go to the sites that allow you to use the images. I have used some from Pinterest. I have seen other people use others like Google Images.
I have an image I will give you. I used it in one of my posts. I called it, “The Path Less Traveled.” When I saw it I thought of you because of your blog’s title. “My Travels with Depression.” You can do any edits on it that you wish. If you don’t want to use mine, that is okay, but that might give you some idea of what might go with your title.
I do have an image in mind, but I’d love to see yours. I don’t so much mind using cartoon images in posts but the header is more a permanent fixture and I’d be mortified if someone complained I was using their pic 😉 Mr Paranoid here! Yer, send it to mytravelswithdepression@gmail.com.
Many thank, Joy
I understand. 🙂 I will be emailing some to you soon.
Hi Joy… thanks, I emailed you back!
Thanks! I look forward to getting it! Did you find an image you liked??
I just hope it turns out ok… meez not very technical minded
Haha! Nor I! But I think mine turned out okay??? (I didn’t get your email) Try pricelessjoy@icloud.com.
I just emailed you again… it’s from my private email addy, so maybe it went to spam… lol… story of my life 😉
No, I got it. It didn’t go to spam or Junk. LOL! It went into the mailbox entitled, “The Best Human Ever!” :o)

Something I did at Christmas was ask people if they had Christmas images I could use for my header and I was given some very nice images. Another option would be to ask people if they have photos you can use for your theme (and of course you would give them credit).
You are so correct: one person at a time.
Thank you. 🙂
Yes!
Writing and speaking from the loving part of you, is a powerful way to send out to the world. One beautiful blog at a time, yes, this is a great thought for today. Thank you.
Thank you. 🙂

I love this! I agree, feeling you have made a difference is a great feeling.
Who says your blog can’t make bells ring and fireworks explode? 😛
That’s right! We will make our blog posts so wonderful that bells will ring and fireworks will explode. 😀
Yes! Hehe 😀
😆
(That is suppose to be a smiley face with it’s mouth moving laughing).
And don’t each one of us matter? 🙂
Yes! I hope I didn’t imply that it didn’t. 😯
Absolutely not, you implied just the opposite. That we all do. 🙂
Thank you. That makes me feel better. 🙂
I love your puppy! You two found each other or so it seems 🙂
Yes, we did! She found me at the same time I found her! 😀
Reblogged this on mondozeitgeist.
