The beginning of the month brings a brand new image for One Four Challenge, hosted by Robyn G, author of the blog, Captivate Me.
We choose one image which we use for the entire four weeks, and make computer edits on our image each week and sharing the edits we chose to do.
If you would like to join in on this challenge, please click here: Captivate Me
The image that I chose for February is called, The River Bridge. I chose a minor edit for the first week. In the photo editor Aviary, I pulled up the image into Enhance and chose Scenery. That's it.

Very beautiful photo 🙂
Thank you Lrod! I really need to get out and take more photos! Hopefully, soon. 🙂
Can’t wait! 😀
I can’t wait to see the resulting edits! And that is beautiful, sunny photo with which to start!
Thanks Terri! I can’t wait either because I have no idea what I am going to do! I don’t have many photos to work with. I need to get out and take some more.
I love the yellow color of leaves:)
Thank you! I took the picture just as the leaves were turning into their fall magnificence.
PJ what a pretty image, nicely framed by the overhanging leaves, and such an amazing colour. I like your process too 🙂
Thank you! I have no idea what kind of edits I am going to make with this but it will be fun to find out.
That is a gorgeous image 💞
Thank you Michelle! I really need to get out and take more photos. I’m running out of photos!
Absolutely a fantastic view! I look at it and almost feel like I am there. Just another reminder of what a blessing it is to see such beauty.
Thank you Lucky. I’m glad to hear you feel as if you are there when you look at it. I’m new at photography and learning as I go. 🙂
That’s an amazing pic, Joy, I love how it looks through the branches and the colours are amazing
Thank you so much Cat! I don’t have many photos to use for this One Four Challenge. I need to get out and do more photographing but it has been so cold! I’m happy to hear this is a nice photo (since I am so new at photography).
Joy, has your old notification page been replaced by a drop down thingy from the right of your page?
What? I don’t know what your talking about
Can you do a screen print on it and send it to me?
Nah I can’t. At one time, there was a full page dedicated to comments and it was easy to see who I replied to. Now it seems there is only a drop down list of comments. Click on this link and tell me what you see https://wordpress.com/notifications
I think I might be seeing the same thing you are. I have never been on this page before. Anyway, I did a screen print and I will mail it to your email and you can see if that is the same as what you see.
Cat, do you not use the WordPress Reader? It is free and easy to see your notifications and be able to reply to them. I use an iPad and got the WordPress Reader app. It is free. I’m sure they have one for desktops and laptops too.
Yer I’ve got the reader but I prefer to keep on top of comments via the page I sent you. It’s just wordpress keep changing bits. Oh well, off to wind down before bed. almost 9pm here. Nightie night 😉
Good night. I keep forgetting you are on a different time.
I love bridges, looking forward to what you do with this. 🙂
LOL Colleen! Me too because I have no idea. haha
We’ll find out then, won’t we! 😉
The foliage looks like a cascade of gold. Beautiful!
Thank you!
Without seeing the original I can’t really compare the changes, but the picture does look good as it is in the post.
I understand and I will make sure to add it to my my post on Week 2. Sorry.
No need to apologize, just an observation 😉
Beautiful photo! Love it the way it is, and can’t wait to see what you do with it in coming weeks 🙂
Haha, it is going to be interesting because I have no idea!
Pretty! Those cascading leaves are really beautiful, great natural colors to start with and good light. You will have fun with this image each week, enjoy!
Thank you Carrie. I was there at a pretty foliage time of year – autumn.
Beautiful composition. Lovely yellow leaves.
Thank you Amy. I hope I am able to get 3 more lovely edits with it.
This is such a lovely start to February PJ – lovely scene 😀
Thank you Robyn. I am running out of decent photos to use. I need to go out and take some more. 🙂
Wishing you some time out with the camera very soon 😃
I need to get out again too.
We have had some lovely days, but I haven’t been able to go.
Great picture and I can’t wait to see the edits you make. I use Aviary too and love it. Getting into photography is not easy, it takes a lot of time plus it is an expensive hobby too. I like being outside and taking pics in the spring and summer…winter not so much. Look forward to seeing more.
Thanks! I am anxious to see what I can do with it with photo editing. I’m afraid I might get stuck. I really need to get out and take more photos!!
Lovely image, I love framing and the colors are so warm.
Thank you very much. 🙂
