My Ideal Saturday

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Me Time.”

What would be my ideal Saturday morning? At the moment, I am sitting and watching it snow on top of the three inches we got last night. I have been going through my emails and wondering why there aren’t as many as there usually is. It’s cold and I have upped the heat in my home about 4 degrees higher than I normally keep it. But, to answer the question, what would be my ideal Saturday morning? This is it.

Doing what I want to do and feeling no pressure to do anything else.

I’m trying to figure things out with my technology addled mind. There is so much to know! I need to do something soon as my iPad has been acting up on me lately. I need to get a new computer but they are so expensive!

I feel fortunate that I don’t have to go out and brave the cold and snowy/icy streets. I also feel fortunate that I am warm and safe inside my home.

This Saturday, I am doing exactly what I want to be doing and being grateful that I am. And, being grateful for so much more.

  1. I sympathise with you about the snow, PJ. I’m sure you must all be really fed up with it by now. I’m also with you about all things remotely technological. I’m useless at all of it. Luckily, I have several people around me who aren’t. Enjoy your blissful Saturday and dream of spring. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I love those cosy days indoors, especially when the weather’s bad outside. We haven’t had snow in London yet. The last two years, we’ve had a little in feb/march, but it has felt so mild.

  3. I love how you always have an attitude of gratitude, PJ. It is inspiring. It sounds like a perfect quiet time. As to the computer, they have quite a few laptops that are actually cheaper than iPads now. I got one recently that was only $250. It is not fancy by any means, but it is perfect for WordPress and writing. Admittedly, it is a bit slow for my Photography stuff but I have a desktop computer for that. If you have any questions about any computer you are looking at, I’d be more than happy to help you. I’ve helped several people and I pick the computers for our company too.

    • Thanks so much! I appreciate that. My iPad is running out of room. I only have 1.4 GB of memory left. YIKES! Once that is gone I won’t have a computer at all. My desktop is so old and the software in it is so old that I wouldn’t dare try to use it. I have been looking at used and refurbished laptops on the internet. I’m considering going that route.

      • That’s a good route to go. If you want to use it for photos and editing you should get something with at the very minimum of 6 GB of RAM. I would recommend 8 GB or higher. Adobe has a great “Photographer Plan” that gives you both Photoshop and Lightroom for about $10 a month.

I would love to read your thoughts...
