MFtS – Lauren’s Dream

As her mount shifted uneasily under her, she grasped the brim of her old felt Stetson, gazed upward and remembered Jean Pierre.” The End.

Lauren closed the book and leaned back on her pillow, dreaming of the romance she had just finished reading about. Her dreamy thoughts took her to sometime in the future when she would be romantically involved with a wonderful man, become his wife and the mother of his children. However, no matter how hard she tried to see the face of this man, his face is still hidden from her and she knows it will only fill in when she finds the right face to put there.

Lauren reached up, turned off the light and allowed her sleep dreams to overtake her and carry her into the arms of her future faceless husband.

  1. LOL, I just changed it a bit to fit. Lovely story, I used to dream of my future husband too, I saw everything but his face. The dark hair, beard, mustache everything, but never his face. Now I get to see it everyday! You story has lots of truth to it! πŸ™‚

  2. Oh I love this! Romance, right up my alley…I used to read all the Harlequin Romances all summer long when I was a mother’s helper for this couple I babysat for. I spent my summer’s at Cape Cod with them and she was an avid reader. Every night the two of us would each be reading a Harlequin Romance Novel…this reminded me of that…oh thank you for stirring up such wonderful memories!!! Great writing PJ!!

I would love to read your thoughts...
