FFfAW – Love Blooms

I love taking my dog for a walk at the dog park two blocks from my house. It is so beautiful there. A path runs close to the river which is shaded by huge trees.

I take Lucy there every day. We walk for two hours and meet a lot of interesting people and their dogs. Yesterday we met Troy and his two dogs, Ruger and Pistol. We are going to start walking together every day! I look forward to that.

I see a long friendship happening with Troy and I and I can hardly wait for tomorrow to come.

Thank you Louise for our photo prompt!

  1. Aww, this story just grabs my heart ❤ I love a feel-good story, especially with animals. Here's to a long friendship between Troy, the main character, and their little family of dogs 😉

  2. I’d be careful with that new relationship if he calls his dogs Pistol and Ruger. A fascination with firearms?

  3. Nice sweet story. I miss walking our dog. I had a lab that knew what day of the week was Sunday. We would go for a ride to get paper and he would get his walk. He would only follow me around on Sundays. He was the wife’s dog the other days

  4. Lovely tale PJ. I believe dogs are some of the best way to meet new people. They have a very good sense of what people are about, and what their traits are, of they’re safe etc. Plus, if someone has dogs, that’s a whole lot to have in common still.

  5. A beautiful beginning of perhaps a lasting friendship. Maybe the dogs given names were on purpose to reveal how protective they are of him. Wonderful story, Joy! 🙂

I would love to read your thoughts...
