Watching from my bedroom window, the ink black car pulls into the space and chills run up my spine.
How dare you think you can just walk back into my life at the blink of an eye!
God, how I have missed you.

Gosh, this had so much feeling to it! Great read! 🙂
Thank you so much!
Nice! Some conflicted feelings there.
Thank you, Ali!
great post, everything is said in those three lines 😊
Thank you so much!
One moment of anger followed by another moment of love. You captured the conflicting thoughts aptly.
Thank you so much, Jahnavi! 🙂
Love it! 2 contrasting strong emotions!
Thank you so much, JR!
I love this in so many ways. The anger and love, the missing and not wanting him close…it’s fantastic 🙂
Thank you so much, Jaqueline. Isn’t that the truth sometimes? We feel like we could just kill them but can’t live without them! LOL!
Awww, and that’s often how it is. There’s a lyric I remember that goes “I hate you, don’t leave me”. This story reminds me of it. 🙂
LOL! That lyric is true in so many levels. Sometimes we feel like killing them but on the other hand, we can’t live without them.
Haha, exactly!! You should me, raising my hands and emphasizing when I read your comment😂
Hahahaha! That’s funny!
You did great 🙂
Thank you so much, Alok! 🙂
So much said in a few lines. That is a talent!
Great twist in the last line – lovely lines 🙂
Thank you, Sonya! 🙂
Emotional lines with such meaning. Hating someone but wanting them back so badly. Great job PJ.
Yes, there is a very thin line between love and hate. Thank you, Mandi!
Not sure this is a very good ‘attraction’ to keep around.
You may be right!!! 🙂
Great write. We all have such contradictory thoughts. 🙂
Yes! That’s true.
Wow PJ. So much going on …..
Yes, lots going on!
Yes a nice one!
Thank you! Weird how some stories just pop up in our heads! LOL!
Yes I like this so true too x
Oh! The anger is so vivid that’s why the third line is really surprising and weighty! 🙂 The confusion of anger and love. Wow.
Yes, Rosema. Sometimes we want to kill them but we can’t live without them. LOL! Haha!
Hahah! I agree! 😀 😀
hahaha!
Wow you are fantastic at this!!! You create so much in three sentences…what a talent! I love this PJ!! xo
Thank you so much, Deb! I’m glad you liked it!!
wow that was a chilling read, especially for how short and ambiguous it is!
LOL! Thank you for reading my Three Line Tale for last week! Yes, it was a bit chilling. The meaning being, there are times we feel like we would like to kill our partner (not literally) and yet we can’t live without them. Haha!
Great job! So much emotion in so few words!
Thank you so much! 🙂
You are welcome!
Love it! Immediately after that thought, I felt disappointment. What do you mean this is it? And the story behind the three lines? You left me craving more, and in the mean time, you also summed it all up. Very clever. Great job. Keep them coming!
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words!
Keep the door locked…Pretend you’re not at home…Keep the door locked…Pretend…Pretend…Keep the door locked…. Nope. I bet she opened it!
It’s her husband! She wants to kill him but can’t live without him. LOL!! (I think most couples have these feelings sometimes).
There are mixed feelings associated with arrival of unexpected visitor. The narrator in your story was angry but knows the importance of visitor in his or her life.
Interesting three lines !!!
Thank you so much!!
