Sugar

When my little dog Bria passed away from Conjestive heart failure, I was devasted. She was very special to me. She was my best friend for 15 years and 3 months.

After several months of grieving, I decided to get a new puppy. She can't replace Bria but at least she will keep me company. Her name is Sugar. She is a little pistol. I should have had my head examined before adopting a feisty little puppy. LOL! This is Sugar…

Goodbye Sweet Friend

My little dog, Bria was coughing and I took her in the Vet on Monday. He diagnosed her with Congential Heart Failure. He put her on a medicine that would help pull the fluid that was building up in her lungs. The next day she got progressively worse. Then suddenly she got better.

But in the late afternoon she started having seizures and she was having them every 10 minutes. I knew it was time to do the only humane thing even though it absolutely broke my heart.

She was euthanized this evening at 6:00 pm.

My sweet friend is at peace now. I know she went over the Rainbow Bridge to meet her friends that are already there and they are running and playing in healthy bodies. This gives me peace and hope that maybe one day I will see her again.

Thank you for listening.

Michelle’s Pet Share 1/27/2015

This is one of my last images of my beloved dog, Princeton. I wasn’t able to get very good photos of him because he wasn’t the ‘posing kind of dog’. He would move every single time I went to click the shot. So I’m lucky to even have one decent photo of him.

Last March, he had a stroke and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to have him euthanized. I am still grieving.

~~~~~~~~~
When I decided I wanted another dog (years ago), I went to one of our local animal shelters. I saw this poor dog, about 2 years old, who was very badly emaciated, along with being very ill with an upper respiratory infection. I adopted him on the spot and immediately took him to the vet where they kept him on an IV overnight.
He turned out to be a wonderful companion. He would ride in the back seat of my car and stick his head out the window while his ears would flew in the breeze and he just loved it. That was one of his favorite things to do. Children who saw him riding in my car always got a kick of seeing his flying ears.
Having to let him go was excrutiatingly painful.
Today, I am sharing the memory of my beloved pet, Princeton, on Michelle’s (Hope* the happy hugger) Pet Share.
I am featuring “Mamacita.” She was my cousin's daughter's cat and has a story all her own, which now, thankfully, has a happy ending.
One Four Challenge – Week 3
Robyn G., author of the wonderful blog, Captivate Me, hosts the One Four Photo Challenge each week. We select one photo, which we use for all four weeks of the month. Each week we photo edit our selected photo and explain our edits in our post.
This week, for Week 3, I have chosen to put my photo through Photo Shop Express and make it Black and White. That’s it!  That is all I have done to my photo for this week.
Bria
Thirteen years ago yesterday, January 1, my neighbor brought me this adorable little 6-7 week old puppy. She told me she found her running down the street and asked me if I would take her. I agreed and immediately began looking for her owners. (I also immediately took her to the vet and got her puppy shots). I went to each neighbor and she belonged to none of them. I even put an add in the paper and no one came forward to claim her. I came to the conclusion she had been “dumped.”
About 2 weeks after she came to my house, she came down with Parvo (a highly fatal canine illness). I took her to the vet and with proper medicine he was able save her – because she had gotten her shots.
Two years ago in November, my brother’s dog bit her in the eye and she ended up losing that eye.
This is my baby, Bria. She adopted me 13 years ago, yesterday.
